Holden Paragraph

I don't like the book so far. It's really slow and boring. Holden is kind of a hypocrite. He calls everyone phony but he acts tough so people don't know that he is really sensitive. I don't really like how the book is written either. They use the same word over and over again in some paragraphs. It's trying to be realistic and seem like a person is really talking to a crowd but in doing so it's not being realistic.

The book and the movie were different in very small ways. Like in the book he was all emotional and crying all the time but in the movie he didn't cry at all. However the guy in the movie and the real Morrie looked a lot a think. In the movie he didn't give Morrie the brief case and Morrie didn't meet Mitch's parents. He didn't cry then either. But the movie was helpful because you got to hear some of the lines from the book in context like when Mitch told Morrie he would keep in touch. Another thing that was wrong was that Mitch and his wife were just dating in the movie.

I didn't know what to expect. In the story Morrie talks about excepting death and not pitting himself. I guess I didn't really believe it because the whole time I was watching the video I couldn't believe how cool this guy was being even though he was dying. I don't know why it was so unexpected but it was.

Another thing I didn't expect was how normal he looked. I didn't expect him to look like and alien or anything but if he didn't say he was dying I wouldn't have guessed it. In the book he is supposed to look all withered and depressing but he look just fine. If that guy was withered and depressing he must have been like super human when he wasn't sick.
