I didn't know what to expect. In the story Morrie talks about excepting death and not pitting himself. I guess I didn't really believe it because the whole time I was watching the video I couldn't believe how cool this guy was being even though he was dying. I don't know why it was so unexpected but it was.
Another thing I didn't expect was how normal he looked. I didn't expect him to look like and alien or anything but if he didn't say he was dying I wouldn't have guessed it. In the book he is supposed to look all withered and depressing but he look just fine. If that guy was withered and depressing he must have been like super human when he wasn't sick.

You are the first person I've read that called Morrie cool. I think he really would have liked that. And you know what, you are completely right. I've never thought of it before, but he is cool. You need to consider that the interview with Ted Koppel took place before the book was written. Give that, and the way in which ALS rapidly advances, it's a little more understandable that Morrie would be looking and acting better for the interview. Just my observation.
